Modern ERP systems are complex, and understanding how they are intended to function requires time and patience. Many customizations made during implementation go unused because the software does not work in the same way as the old system, and once this is understood, the customization is no longer needed.  These customizations are not only expensive to build, but they also incur ongoing costs that can impair the system’s intended functionality.
