Capability - Tools

Tools to identify gaps and grow capbility

Capability

Tools

The great business thinker Clayton Christensen defined capability as a combination of resources, processes, and values. In ERP, that means the organization’s ability—through these elements—to mobilize, coordinate, and sustain the effort required to get the system live:

  • Resources: The people, tools, time, and funding available.
  • Processes: The ways work gets done— from ERP evaluation to go-live
  • Values: The criteria that guide decisions along the way.

These three are like cogs in a machine that works together to enhance capability.  Or not.
